Description

If the most breathtaking locales in the world are a combination of sheer beauty, but also of contrast and drama, then the Amalfi Coast’s reputation is richly deserved. Colorfully elaborate structures are peppered throughout volcanic crags and wildflower-lined cliffs carry winding roads that overlook narrow beaches astride azure-blue Mediterranean water, where luxury super-yachts dock next to simple sailboats. It’s enough to make the world’s greatest writers stand in abject silence and simply appreciate how beautiful a place can be. This stunning tableau is what Casamorati set out to capture in Dolce Amalfi, a delightfully brisk, sweetly fruity, warmly balsamic new scent available for the first time outside of Xerjoff’s luxury boutique in Dubai. From the first sniff, we can see why they wanted to keep it all to themselves. Juicy apple is made all the more redolent with a sophisticated spice blend, while smoothly seductive incense is warmed in the sun via a rich collection of balsamic notes and vanilla. All together, it’s a cheery, fruity, sunny, yet grown-up dose of smooth relaxation, as any good testament to Amalfi should be. Take a trip to the most beautiful place on the planet, no matter where you are, with a single spritz of Dolce Amalfi.

  1. Saatwik

Using strong spicy notes such as clove, cumin and aniseed in a fragrance is more than just whimsical art – it’s a proper challenge. With that in mind, the fact that Dolce Amalfi does clove so well means that it’s more than just a drop dead gorgeous scent – it’s a true testament to the skill of the perfumer.

This scent opens with fragrant clove mixed with rich, sensuously ripe fruit. As time wears on, the clove bubble around you grows – if you don’t like clove, this will be the point where you either start to regret your purchase or start to realize the beauty of the note. This isn’t to say that the fruit is lost, though – the persistent freshness of Quince rescues it from being pigeonholed as yet another ‘warm spicy’ scent. The balance of spiciness and freshness makes it genuinely uni-seasonal.

The performance is phenomenal – large projection bubble/sillage trail and no less than 10 hours of longevity even in outdoor summer situations.
