When the oldest and most prestigious fragrance house in the world launches a new scent—Aventus Cologne, which just became available for now —it’s probably wise to at least take a whiff.
Founded in 1760, The House of Creed has been hand-crafting its fragrances for English royal houses for over 200 years before finally making its wares available to the general public in the 1970s. Now, the house has just launched Aventus Cologne, a new fragrance that provides an unconventional olfactive experience that stands on its own.
Led by Olivier Creed, the house’s sixth-generation Master Perfumer, Creed still uses a 4,000-year-old infusion technique, a time-consuming method that captures some of the rarest, natural materials found in the perfume world. Then follows the two-step maturation and maceration methods, which requires months of patience to yield the perfect finish.
The Aventus Cologne wearer is a true individual and a risk-taker; they don’t follow the status quo. They are the ones setting the trends vs. just wearing them. I see this client as the younger, cooler cousin or sibling to Aventus and Aventus for Her. It’s a contemporary and expressive scent.
