Peach marvel.
It’s a Chypre floral scent and it has got the most beautiful muted peach note in it. You can tell it’s vintage, in the same lane as chanel no.5, yet Mitsouko to me seems more alluring that the aforementioned. It opens with a powdery, dry but still a little juicy peach. The rest of the notes hide behind this scent profile and make it a very profound scent. Spicy at times and floral at others. Never ceases to amaze me. It may smell a bit underwhelming at first as today’s perfumes have a lot going on with newer molecules and notes. But give it time, Mitsouko is my evening scent, be it summer or winter. It gives me a sense of peace and elegance without ever being too much.
Truly a masterpiece.
